Our Policy

We are a small number of people anxious to please our customers who take the time & make the effort to visit our web-site, and, if we are lucky to buy an item that they like.  It is therefor important to us to offer you quality products,  organic & locally made with our own wool from our home grown sheep. The two breeds of sheep we raise are both rustic breeds that stand up to the harsh conditions of Dartmoor in winter & who don't need  the attention of some breeds that have been crossed with other breeds. Rustic means that the sheep are hardy & acclimatise well to changes. 

Taking into account all the care we take of our animals the wool that they produce is of excellent quality, and, each procedure from shearing the sheep to the creation of the final product, a ball of coloured  wool would have been done by 100% ethical processes.

We love Dartmoor for it's many moods & seasons. The closeness of the sea affects the land, the peaty earth colours the water of the rives, the wind designs the shape of the tors & rocks & all of these factors influence the quality of the vegetables & fruit grown on Dartmoor. Like our sheep their wool is of an extra quality, soft & strong thus making the work of a knitter much more agreable to the touch & of course giving the final product a real plus for years to come.

Even though we pay much attention to our final product & the packaging, it is always possible that something happens during the making up of the product or in the packaging.
